Pillar Four · Leadership & Life Skills
Leadership, life skills, self-worth, career readiness, and executive-board development. Empower Her is where safe, well, equipped women become the leaders of their chapters — and of whatever comes next.
A chapter is only as strong as the women leading it. Empower Her builds them deliberately.
Summer officer retreats. The best chapters start the year in June, not August. Empower Her's summer intensives — officer retreats, executive-board training, recruitment preparation, and chapter planning — mean your incoming leaders hit the ground running while everyone else is still reading the handbook.
Empower Her is the pillar that makes everything else stick. Trained officers run better programming, spot struggling sisters sooner, and model the culture the other three pillars teach. For advisors and HQ, it's also the most measurable: stronger officer terms, smoother transitions, better retention, and chapters that need less intervention from above.
Questions
No. All-member sessions (like March's women's leadership programming) are designed for the whole chapter — every member is leading something, even if it's just herself. Officer-specific training and exec-board development are separate, deeper tracks.
Role-specific training for each position, facilitated officer-transition planning, conflict and communication tools for the board, and goal-setting for the term. Summer retreats can combine all of it into one intensive.
Yes — May programming focuses on career confidence: translating chapter leadership into professional language, interview skills, and life-transition preparation. It's one of the most appreciated sessions for graduating members.
Summer is ideal — officer retreats and board training before fall recruitment. March also works well, timed with Women's History Month and spring officer transitions.
Empower Her is one pillar of a year-round partnership — book a March session or a summer officer retreat, or build it into your chapter's whole year.
